Minister Vulin: The money provided by President Vučić is changing the lives of people in Srebrenica for the better

Today, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin opened a new plant in the “Galvanizing Factory LLC, Srebrenica” and then attended the opening of the new plant in “AS Drvo LLC, Srebrenica” which were purchased with the funds provided by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony and opening the new plants, Minister Vulin pointed out that he was proud to see that what President Aleksandar Vučić decided and what he provided five million euros for, became something that is changing the lives of all the people living in Srebrenica for the better.

- I am proud to see that Serbia protects its Republika Srpska and respects Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am proud to see that life is changing for the better. When you open one job vacancy in Srebrenica, it is like opening 100 job vacancies in Banja Luka or Belgrade. We are not doing this to make people leave, but to enable them to stay. We are doing this so that children can be born here, so that years ahead are better and that future generations can have a better life in better times than we did. This is why this has been done, and this is why I am incredibly proud of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and President Vučić for the policy he pursues, Minister Vulin pointed out.

As he pointed out, the Republic of Serbia has earmarked considerable funds for at least one project in each municipality in Republika Srpska.

- There are no municipalities in Republika Srpska, not even the four municipalities outside the borders of Republika Srpska where Serbian majority lives, to which the Government of the Republic of Serbia has not earmarked significant funds for the needs of local governments. That is help, that is life, that is how things change for the better, and we will continue with that policy. I am really proud that this will be the case, said Minister Vulin, adding that the State of Serbia is here to help.
Minister Vulin thanked Mayor Grujičić for everything he has done so far, for showing that those who said that a Serb should not be the Mayor of Srebrenica were wrong.

- You cannot forbid a man who was born here to be elected by the citizens of this community. I am also grateful that he has broken this prejudice, that this will no longer be said or repeated, and that the citizens of Srebrenica will always decide for themselves who they want to be ruled by and how - Minister Vulin pointed out.
He said that Serbia would do its best to facilitate more projects like this, protect Republika Srpska, and respect Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will show in the years to come that peace will make us better, more successful and more generous.

The Minister of Energy and Mining of Republik Srpska Petar Đokić expressed satisfaction that today a new production plant has been opened and that the existing capacities have been expanded, thus creating conditions for further economic growth and development of the municipality.

- For us, as the Government of Republika Srpska, cooperation with the Republic of Serbia is of utmost importance, especially with President Aleksandar Vučić. By coming here and being familiar with the difficulties in the life and work of Srebrenica, he has decided to help it by donating five million euros, which is considerable financial help, and I wish our other neighbours in Bosnia and Herzegovina followed the same policy – pointed out Minister Đokić, adding that it is particularly important for an area which had such a difficult past.

Thanking the Republic of Serbia for its donation, the Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality Mladen Grujičić pointed out that the production facility which is being opened today, will soon become a home to some of the families from Srebrenica Municipality. He reminded that during the past four years four production facilities were opened in this municipality, adding that it is a kind of security to all those who wish to stay and live in Srebrenica and the surrounding area.
At the invitation of Mayor Mladen Grujičić, Minister Vulin continued his tour of Srebrenica by visiting the “Economic Group” plant, which Minister Vulin officially opened in 2018.
