In the military healthcare system there has never been a question of whether you are a civilian, a soldier, Serbian, etc. The task of the military healthcare system is to alleviate human suffering and pain and heal – said Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin after today’s visit to the new operating room and renovated Day Surgery Centre of the MMA.

It is up to us to preserve and improve the high standards that military healthcare and the MMA have achieved. That is why we have reconstructed the operating room for the first time since it was founded 15 years ago. Our goal is for all our operating rooms to be modern and refurbished and that all the capacities of the MMA enable our patients to be treated in accordance with the highest world standards. We have capable doctors and nurses whose knowledge and commitment does not lag behind others, which is why our equipment and our conditions must not lag behind anyone else’s – emphasized Minister Vulin.

Head of the Military Medical Academy, Colonel Miroslav Vukosavljević said that the renovation of the Day Surgery Centre and the new operating room will speed up work considerably and increase the number of surgeries.

Today, the axiom is to work in day surgery and to perform outpatient surgeries. Now that the third operating room has been opened, the Military Medical Academy is in keeping with the standards of all European and world institutions - said Colonel Vukosavljevic.
