Minister Vulin at the celebration of Republika Srpska Day



Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, are attending the celebration on the occasion of 9 January – Republika Srpska Day in Banja Luka.

The marking of Republika Srpska Day began with the liturgy of the Holy Bishops at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, served by the Serbian Patriarch, Irinej.

The delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces includes the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Major-General Duško Žarković, Deputy Chief of the Joint Operations Command, Major-General Ilija Todorov, Chief of the Operations Department, Major-General Želimir Glišović and Chief of the Department for Planning and Development, Brigade General Milan Popović.

Republika Srpska was established on 9 January 1992 in Sarajevo as the Republic of Serbian People in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the decision of the then Assembly of the Serbian People in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
