President Vučić: Serbia and Democratic Republic of Congo to discuss the development of military-technical cooperation




President of the Republic of Serbia and commander-in-chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, and president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, have had a press conference at the Palace of Serbia, today.
 
On this occasion, President Vučić said that he was grateful to President Tshisekedi for the support to the territorial integrity of Serbia, for the mutual support the two countries provide for each other in all international bodies, organisations and institutions, as well as for support with respect to the issue of Kosovo and Metohija. He added that Serbia supports the Democratic Republic of Congo in all key issues of its territorial integrity and all other matters concerning the concrete cooperation of the two countries.
  President Vučić distinguished military-technical cooperation as one of the areas in which cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Democratic Republic of Congo could be developed, adding that defence minister Aleksandar Vulin, acting assistant minister for material resources Nenad Miloradović, generals and other professionals will have the opportunity to talk to the people closest to President Tshisekedi in order to enhance that cooperation.
 
President of the Democratic Republic of Congo thanked for the very cordial welcome, saying that Serbia and the country he leads are in many ways similar and that as such they should turn to exchange of experience, culture and experts.
 
At the end of his address, President Tshisekedi said he was very happy that the Democratic Republic of Congo would have a sincere and loyal partner in Serbia in the coming years, adding that in return his country was ready to support Serbia in all its ventures, internationally or regionally.
 
The visit of incumbent president of the Democratic Republic of Congo Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo is the first presidential visit to our country after 31 years.
