Two medals for Serbia at the 7th CISM Military World Games in China




Serbian Armed Forces representatives Sanja Vukašinović and Viktor Nemeš won bronze medals for Serbia at the 7th CISM Military World Games in the People's Republic of China, today.
 
Sanja Vukašinović won third place in the small-caliber rifle 3 positions shooting, and Viktor Nemeš won third place in Greco-Roman 77 kilograms wrestling competition.
Defence minister Aleksandar Vulin congratulated Sanja Vukašinović and Viktor Nemeš on winning bronze medals in China.
 
After the medal awarding ceremony, Sanja Vukašinović stated that this was her first big medal.
 
- This year I entered a lot of big finals, in big world contests. I am happy that in such a prestigious contest, with really strong competition, I was able to position myself among the top three and take my first big medal, bronze," said Sanja, who has already achieved the norm for the next Olympics.
 
- The military shooting team ended its appearance at the Military World Games with the results that were expected. Of course, Sanja Vukašinović, who won the third place in small-caliber shooting, made us happy the most, assessed the leader of the Serbian Armed Forces shooting team, Lieutenant Petar Nikolić, and pointed out that the shooting competition is best shown by the fact that the winner of today's competition, Yulia Zhukova of Russia, equalized the world record and set a new record for the military games in this discipline.
  Viktor Nemeš has repeated the success of his twin brother Mate today and won a bronze medal in wrestling in Greco-Roman 77 kilograms wrestling competition.
 
- We came, took the medals, Mate broke the ice yesterday, we are moving on, Viktor said shortly after the medal awarding ceremony.
 
Competitions at the 7th CISM Military World Games in Wuhan City, China, continue until Sunday, when the Games will be closed. The Serbian Armed Forces competitors have completed boxing, judo, wrestling, archery and swimming competitions, and by Sunday the final results of the Serbian Armed Forces team  in the disciplines of running, athletics, orienteering, skydiving and triathlon will be released.
