Minister Vulin: Domestic intelligence in the service of our Armed Forces progress




Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin, attended today internal and structural testing of assets in development by the Military Technical Institute and the enterprises of the Defense Industry of Serbia at the Center for testing of weapons and military equipment “Nikinci”.
 
Following the shooting and the presentations, Minister Vulin pointed out that the Serbian Armed Forces are equipping themselves and arming themselves, making technological advances and using domestic industry and domestic production and intelligence in the first place.
 
- Only what you produce and construct yourself is actually yours and no one can take it away from you. The Serbian Armed Forces will continue to invest in its capacities for testing, tryouts, but first and foremost in the defense industry and our people who are capable of enhancing our capabilities, our combat readiness –pointed out Minister Vulin.
 
According to him, what was shown today at the "Nikinci" training grounds testifies that each of these assets is better than it has been the previous time, that we have learned from our own mistakes and that the lessons learned have been applied.
 
- Most of the things presented here are of great interest both for the international community and the world market. We can say that the Serbian Armed Forces are enhancingthe combat readiness and capabilitiesfor defending our country. President and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Vučić promotes the policy of peace, and the Armed Forcesare in function of the peace policy, and there can be no peace without a mighty, powerful and well-armed Armed Forces - said Minister Vulin.
 
Today, as the Director of the Military Technical Institute, Colonel Bojan Pavković, PhD, pointed out at the "Nikinci" training grounds, tests were presented at three stands.
 
- We witnessed the testing of a new 125 mm high explosive squash headtank ammunition with aninstant igniter. It is a new quality and a new capability for arming our tanks, and it is a projectile developed independently by the company “Sloboda” in cooperation with the company EI OPEK from Niš.

At the second stand, the testing of “Little Milos” was presented, namely, the further development course, and it passed all the final testing; we expect it to be introduced into the weapon systems in the forthcoming period, while we will continue to develop and improve this asset - said Colonel Pavković, adding that it is a test including a new type of extended range ammunition type.
 
The third stand of the demonstration, as pointed out by the Director of MTI, was focusing on the post-climate testing of the anti-aircraft system “PASARS”, for which, after the shooting tests to be implemented in the forthcoming period, internal testing will soon be completed.
 
Today's visit was also attended by Chief of the Planning and Development Department of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Milan Popović, Chief of the Cabinet of the Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Siniša Kresović, and Colonel Slobodan Ilić, Director of the Technical Testing Center.
