Meeting between Minister Vulin and his Chinese counterpart Wei Fenghe




At the 8th Moscow Conference on International Security, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, met with the Minister of National Defence of the People's Republic of China, General Wei Fenghe. This is the third meeting between the two ministers in the past year.

The ministers emphasised that the current bilateral relations between the two countries were assessed as the best in history for which credit should be given to personal relations of respective presidents Vučić and Xi Jinping. Accordingly, the regular dialogue of the ministers contributed to the achievement of significant results in the enhancement of the current areas of cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the People's Liberation Army of China and initiation of the new ones. 
 
Minister Fenghe expressed his readiness to further develop defence cooperation through activities and plans to be agreed between the two presidents during the upcoming 2nd edition of the Belt and Road Forum, to be held in Beijing.
 
Excellent relations and mutual friendship are also confirmed by the scheduled visit of the General Zhang Youxia, First Vice-Chairmen of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China, to Serbia this year, which will contribute to strengthening the strategic coordination of the two armies.  
 
Minister Vulin thanked for the donations by which the PR China is helping the Serbian Armed Forces, which confirms the firm friendship of the two countries based on mutual confidence and support, as well as on the principled position towards preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and supporting our country in international organisations.
 
The ministers assessed that the current military-economic and military-technical cooperation with PR China is at the high level and that all plans are being implemented according to the established schedule.
