Ministers of Defense and Interior visited Exhibition “Odbrana 78“ (“Defense 78”)

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of the Interior Nebojša Stefanović said today, during an exhibition dedicated to marking 20 years since NATO aggression, that it is an extremely valuable exhibit, which reminds us of the courage of policemen, soldiers and all citizens who jointly fought to preserve their country.

“The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Defense and the author, Dušan Jovović, reminds us of the days when Serbia fought to defend her freedom and when this was done by its police and its armed forces and its people. It reminds us of the days when our country faced both internal aggression from terrorists in southern Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija and the external NATO aggression” said Stefanović, who together with the Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin visited the exhibition entitled “Odbrana 78” (“Defense 78”) at the Museum of the City of Belgrade.

He pointed out that he hoped a large number of people would have the opportunity to see this exhibition and be reminded of the policemen, soldiers and all other heroes who laid their lives on the altar of our homeland.

“It is a very valuable exhibition and I am glad that the Ministry of Defense organized an event like this after many years. It also reminds us that our armed forces and police must constantly strive for improvement and that we have to allocate money to permanently strengthen these institutions so that Serbia can remain free” Stefanović said.

The exhibition “Defense 78” is a multimedia and interactive setting divided into eight parts that for the first time shows video and printed materials that have not been publicly displayed so far.
