Minister Vulin: I am sorry that NATO has no courage to recognize the crime

The big and powerful very rarely admit their mistakes and have difficulty doing it. Obviously, the NATO is unable to say that the bombing was a mistake to say the least, if not a terrible crime. And it was a crime – Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin said in response to a journalist's question to comment on NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg's statement that “bombing was not directed against the people.”

- Secretary General said that the people of Serbia were bombarded to prevent floods of refugees. Floods of refugees started after the NATO bombing, not before. Refugees and floods of refugees were the consequence, not the cause of NATO bombs, and were they to be fully consistent, according to the logic of what the Secretary General said, then the territory of the so-called “Kosovo” and, for example, Croatia will be bombarded, since 250.000 Serbs were chased out of Croatia and then 250.000 Serbs from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija. I never heard that anyone was bombed for something like that – said Minister Vulin.

He reiterated that the big and powerful are unable to admit their mistakes.

- NATO aggression was not a mistake, it was a terrible crime against Serbia and its people. It was a crime against international law, a crime that has changed the world. After that crime, nothing could ever be the same again. I am sorry that they do not have the courage to admit this crime, this mistake, and sometimes when we hear them say that they are sorry for the civilian victims, I cannot even bring myself to ask them why they do not feel sorry for our soldiers and policemen. Who has the right to kill a soldier and a police officer in a free and sovereign country only because they serve at the territory of their own country? Why is it they do not you feel sorry for the guard at the “Dragiša Mišović” hospital, and they are sorry for the patients? Are their lives less valuable? Are the lives of members of the 250 Rocket Brigade less valuable just because they were wearing a uniform? I hope that someday they will have the strength to acknowledge that the NATO aggression was a terrible crime, to show regret and give apology for each victim, for every citizen, police officer and soldier – said Minister Vulin.
