Signing Bilateral Military Cooperation Programme with the Kingdom of Norway



Head of the Department for International Military Cooperation, Colonel Milan Ranković and Defence Attaché of the Kingdom of Norway in Belgrade, Commander Tore Anderson, have signed today a Plan of Bilateral Military Cooperation between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway.

It was jointly noted that cooperation in the field of defence is intensive and developed, with existence of mutual interest in its improvement in the main areas, as well as finding opportunities for further joint participation in regional projects.
 
Colonel Ranković pointed to the importance of high-level visit for determining the strategic guidelines for future cooperation and thanked for the substantial expert and financial support of the Kingdom of Norway in the fields of military medicine, military education and Defence planning, which contributed to a more efficient defence system reform.
 
Captain Anderson expressed his satisfaction with the recent meeting of the Joint Military Medical Cooperation Steering Commitee held in Oslo and reiterated the readiness of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway to continue supporting the reform of the defence system through ongoing and new projects.
