Salvo and Guards Drill on the Serbian Armed Forces Day





On the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, 23rd April, salvo was fired on the Sava Terrace at Kalemegdan, attended by Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković.
 
After playing the national anthem and raising the flag of the Republic of Serbia on the Sava Terrace, before the numerous citizens, the Order of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić was read first, and then a salvo of ten volleys was fired from six pieces of artillery of the Honour Guard Battalion of the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
With the sounds of an infantry march and under the command of Lieutenant Predrag Kruševac, the Guard members performed drill at the Republic Square to the excitement of many passers-by. The blue lined-up soldiers, with M-59/66 semi-automatic rifles in their hands, demonstrated drill actions following the rhythm of the music.
