The Serbian Armed Forces Continue Paying Attention to Housing Requirements of their Members




 
Today in the Great War Hall of the Old General Staff, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković presented the keys to 19 flats to the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
 
The flats are located in Belgrade, Zrenjanin, Bačka Topola, Pančevo and Kruševac.
 
According to Minister Vulin, since 2017 until today the Serbian Armed Forces have allocated 234 flats to its members.
 
- Apart from that, the SOVO Fund has resolved the housing issue for additional 150 of our military pensioners, while more than 400 of our members have resolved this life problem through the programme of favourable crediting. The Serbian Armed Forces will continue paying attention to housing needs of their members, since it is only the whole package, the overall improvement of the quality of life and work of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces that can make us hope that we will have a lot more interested in spending their lives in the Serbian Armed Forces – the minister of defence underlined.
 
He noted that it was necessary to resolve the housing issue and the issue of jobs for the families of our members.
 
- It is necessary to provide best medical protection as well, new and modern weapon systems, while the patriotism and love for the homeland have never been questioned in the Serbian Armed Forces – Minister Vulin concluded.
 
Slobodanka Nikolić, one of the persons who received keys to their new flats in Bežanijska kosa,  did not hide her happiness, since she had been waiting for that day for 28 years. According to her and her granddaughter, a student of medicine, she was very excited because of that beautiful ev event.
 
First Sergeant Nikola Brojčin has been waiting for the flat for 27 years.
 
- I received a flat in Bežanijska kosa and I am very satisfied. I thank the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces for enabling me and my family to have the flat and not to live in someone else’s flats – First Sergeant Brojičin said.
 
For First Sergeant Viktor Stanković this was one of the most important days in his life.
 
- I would like to thank the people leading the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces for having enabled me to resolve the housing issue. I believe that in the period to come, the employees of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces will resolve their housing issue more quickly, because I have been waiting for 20 years- First Sergeant Stanković highlighted.
