Meeting of Minister Vulin and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Belgrade Gustavo Trista del Toro agreed today that there existed a mutual positive impulse to establish the cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting the gratitude was extended to the Cuban side for their continued support.
- We are grateful for the support that the Republic of Cuba renders to our struggle to preserve our sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia. We highly appreciate the principled policy of the Republic of Cuba regarding the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so called “Kosovo”, as well as the diplomatic efforts in relation to other states of the Latin America and Caribbean to resist the pressure to recognise the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so called “Kosovo” – Minister Vulin pointed out.
A high level of traditionally friendly bilateral relations was reconfirmed during the discussion, with a remark that the relations have gained a significant incentive for their enhancement with the recent visit of the President of Serbia to Cuba.
- The visit from Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander unequivocally points to a direction in which we desire to develop our cooperation – the minister of defence stated.
