Delegation of the Austrian Armed Forces in the Defence Inspectorate




 
The delegation of the Austrian Defence Inspectorate, led by Brigadier General Robert Prader, MSc, is on a two-day return visit to the Defence Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia. At the meeting held at the Guards Club at Topčider, their host was the Director of the Defence Inspectorate, Major General Goran Radovanović, who briefed his colleagues from Austria on the responsibilities and tasks of inspection related to the coordination of preparations for defence, implementation of acts and decisions of the President of the Republic and the Serbian Government, operational and functional capabilities of the commands, units and institutions of the Serbian Armed Forces, and other activities regulated by law.
 
Heads of Divisions in the Defence Inspectorate presented to the guests the history and legal basis for the performance of the Inspectorate's activities, the organization of work and the functioning of inspection, the methods of inspection of preparations for the defence of the country, operational and functional capabilities, financial operations and construction activity, as well as other jobs.
 
The Defence Inspectorate performs the duties of inspection in accordance with the law and regulations issued by the Minister of Defence, and the entities subject to inspection are the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, commands, units and institutions of the Serbian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence, military installations and warehouses, large technical systems of importance for the defence, state administration bodies and other state bodies, local government units and bodies of autonomous provinces.
