Minister Vulin: This court is a disgrace to the human community

The court that freed Naser Orić is not a court, it is a disgrace to the judiciary, it is a disgrace to the human community. The court that was able to acquit the proven criminal, Naser Orić, is the court that endangers peace, which threatens security, trust, which jeopardises reconciliation throughout the Balkans. A court capable of freeing the proven war criminal Naser Orić from responsibility  for the murder of 3,500 Serbs is no longer a court but a shame but also a major threat to peace and great danger.

I expect the international community to show the same persistence and the same solidarity as it has shown to the mothers of Srebrenica. Now, to show the same soliodarity to the Serbian mothers from Bratunac and Podrinje, and the same persistence that their wounds are recognized, to comfort them, to tell them that justice will come. If they do not do that, then, unfortunately, they will prove forever that Serbian wounds do not really hurt anyone, and that the black scarves of our mothers are not a burden to anyone and they are not a warning or accusation to anyone. I expect that the international community will now use its great power in Bosnia and Herzegovina to show that it is for reconciliation by punishing Naser Orić, a war criminal and a proven killer of Serbs.

There is only hope that this is a first instance verdict and that somewhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina, revenge will be won, that justice will overcome politics, and that someone will accept and understand that the criminals and war criminals must be punished even when their name is Naser Orić.
