Future of the special-purpose industry of the Republic of Srpska is very certain

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin met today in Banja Luka with of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik.

Vulin said that carrying out policy of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the policy of the state of Serbia and executing the order of the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, they got introduced to the special-purpose industry of the Republic of Srpska and its potentials and got the opportunity to introduce President Dodik to what has so far been achieved and agreed.

- We have proposed concrete models and concrete plans for joint work and joint engagement when it comes to the special-purpose industry of the Republic of Srpska. The potentials of that special-purpose industry are huge and fully meet the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence. Accordingly, we can work together, we can provide certain investments, keep job positions, ensure that people continue to work in these factories, but also to develop. These are technologically very demanding processes, and the people who work in them are people who should be especially careful because they influence the better life of all in the community where they live and work, Minister Vulin said.

He added that the Ministry of Defence will continue to cooperate with the special-purpose industry of the Republic of Srpska.

- We will ensure that our needs are coordinated and harmonised and we will provide the possibility that we can invest, that we can agree on ownership, that we can guarantee that the operation of these enterprises and their technological progress continue. It is very important for us, not only for economic reasons but also for political reasons, because in this way we also wish to show that our political relations, which are at the highest level, should be followed up economically as well. In this way, we show how much Serbia cares about the Republic of Srpska, its development, the lives of its citizens, the lives of all who are here and everyone who can say in this way that they will definitely be better. The Ministry of Defence will continue to cooperate with the President of the Republic of Srpska and the Government of the Republic of Srpska and, of course, with representatives of the special-purpose industry and, accordingly, we can say that the future of the special-purpose industry of the Republic of Srpska is very certain and far better, the Minister of Defence said.

President Dodik pointed out that today's discussion with Minister Vulin was an opportunity to discuss cooperation, which is often on the agenda of the meetings of the two countries.

- Serbia has recorded significant economic successes precisely in the fact that it has reactivated important industries of the special-purpose industry that is export-oriented. Serbian production of this kind is very much present on the international market and international economic level. Some of our potentials are very corresponding with Serbia and we are talking in this respect. I am very grateful to Minister Vulin and his associates that they have come to the Republic of Srpska to discuss the possible assets of our factories of special-purpose industry. The talks were quite successful and there are significant interests from both sides, Dodik said.
