Minister Vulin on the Set of the TV Serial “Nemanjići“

Therole of the national broadcasting service must be to preserve our history, to preserve our memory and our continuity. The nations which can far less rely and adduce their history have offered much more significant responses in the time we live in than we have – said the Minister of Defence AleksandarVulin during today’s visit to the set of the TV serial “Nemanjići – Birth of the Kingdom” in a showpiece facility of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard in the hunting ground “Dobanovci”.

According to his words, the public service should be the one to gather other national institutions, such as the Serbian Armed Forces, in order for them to give their contribution so that we could bequest a historical view to future generations, but a historical view from our own perspective, our impression of the history, the history the way it is, which should convey a message to the people about what it used to be like and what it could be like.

- I am grateful to the national broadcasting service RTS for making this huge effort, but I am at the same time sure that the citizens of Serbia will appreciate all the institutions which have given their contribution so that the time of Nemanjići could be revived in front of our eyes, but not only because it is that particular time, but because these fundamental values that were established in that time, which define us even today, could be presented to this generation, so that we know whence we started our journey and where we are going – Minister Vulin emphasised.
