Handover of Duties in the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs




 
In accordance with the Protocol on Handover of Duty in Public Administration Bodies, newly elected Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin received today, in the Great War Hall of the old General Staff building, duty from Minister Zoran Đorđevic, who took over the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs.
 
The signing of the Minutes on the Handover of Duty was attended by the members of the Collegium of the former Minister of Defence and representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans' Affairs and Social Affairs.
 
In his address, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin emphasized that there is no greater honour than to be with the best and the bravest ones and to take care of the safety and security of every citizen of Serbia.
 
- Policy of the Ministry of Defence will be run in the same way as the current President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić started, when he was the Minister of Defence, which is a policy of relying on our own strengths, taking care of ourselves, the interests of Serbia, that is the policy of military non-alignment that will in the first make sure that our Constitution and the law are respected and the territorial integrity and integrity of our country preserved, as the generations before us did - Minister Vulin said, adding that we will work together to raise the material position of the members and improve the level of possession of technical equipment in the Armed Forces and of its combat readiness.
 
He added that the priority will be to preserve the security and safety of our Serbia and every citizen in it.
 
- I am immensely proud of the opportunity to serve, together with you, the greatest ideal, free Serbia, the Minister of Defence said, finishing his presentation with the words “Long live Serbia!”
 
Later on, ministers signed the Minutes on the handover of duties in the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans' Affairs and Social Affairs, which will be headed by Minister Zoran Đorđević in the period that follows, who, in his first address on a new duty, thanked Minister Vulin on the experiences that he conveyed to him adding that he would continue in the place where the former minister stopped, for the benefit of all citizens.
 
- I will work hard, with all the people employed at the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, we will do our utmost to closely follow the Government's policy that President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić stands for, Đorđevic said, adding that the goal is that all citizens, pensioners and socially vulnerable, in the short term, feel better, so that our Serbia one day would be an advanced and rich country.
