Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces Mixed-Voice Choir in Moscow



Part of the MoD and SAF Mixed-Voice Choir had a performance at the ceremony to mark the Homeland Defenders’ Day held at the Grand Kremlin Place in Moscow last night.

Apart from the Serbian Military Choir, military choirs from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan also participated in the ceremony singing Russian songs. The MoD and SAF Mixed-Voice Choir rendered the Moscow Nights song. 
 
The absolute star of the show was the Russian Army Alexandrov Ensemble performing in its new structure set up after the tragic crash of the Russian Ministry of Defence aircraft when 92 passengers were killed among which there were 64 members of Alexandrov Ensemble.

The ceremony was attended by the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, government and military authorities, veterans, as well as numerous foreign and domestic visitors.

Together with their colleagues from other visiting military choirs, the members of the MoD and SAF Mixed-Voice Choir will be attending today the wreath laying ceremony to pay homage to the tragically perished General Alexandrov, and in the afternoon the military choirs will be performing a concert together on the premises of the Russian Army Alexandrov Ensemble building. On this occasion, the Serbian Military Choir will be rendering the songs Tamo daleko (There, Far Away) and Oj Srbijo, mila mati (Oh Serbia, Dear Mother) with maestro Pavle Medaković as the conductor.
