Meeting of the Serbia-NATO Defence Reform Group



The 17th Plenary Meeting of the Serbia-NATO Defence Reform Group was held in the Ministry of Defence in order to review the results of cooperation realized through the mechanisms of the Partnership for Peace Programme so far. Besides representatives of the NATO Force Planning Directorate, the meeting was attended by representatives of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade, foreign military representatives accredited in the Republic of Serbia from the 13 NATO Member States and participants in the Partnership for Peace Programme, and representatives of the organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
During the meeting, the results of the work of the working tables within the Group were presented for the purpose of achieving the Partnership Goals that the Republic of Serbia adopted in May 2016. Cooperation activities in the areas that include: defence policy and planning, human resources, logistics, developing the ability of the Serbian Armed Forces, military health and public diplomacy were highlighted.
 
It was concluded that the activities of the Serbia-NATO DRG, which are expected in the coming period, with the support of the NATO member countries and partner countries in the Partnership for Peace Programme, will contribute to the improvement of cooperation between Serbia and NATO.
