General Dikovic visits the Russian Federation
General Ljubisa Dikovic, Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, leads the delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces on a visit to the Russian Federation.After the welcoming ceremony in the Poklonnaya Hill memorial park in Moscow and laying a wreath at the Victory monument, general Dikovic has met today with Army General Valeriy Vasilyevich Gerasimov, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Generals Dikovic and Gerasimov discussed the current security situation in the world and the possibilities for enhancement of bilateral military cooperation.
In the conversation with his Russian counterpart, General Dikovic expressed his satisfaction with the achieved level of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence and pointed out that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are interested in the continuation and increase in activities in the field of military-to-military, military-economic and military-technical cooperation.
The delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces has visited today the International Mine Action Centre in the NakhabinoVillagein the Moscow area, in which the training of Russian armed forces and international forces in the area of reconnaissance, detection, disabling and destroying explosive devices is being conducted.
Tomorrow, at the Alabino training ground, our delegation is going to attend the finals of the Tank biathlon 2016 competition and the closing ceremony of the International Army Games 2016.
