Binicki Ensemble on Belef
Stanislav Binicki Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence performed in this year's BELEF in the yard of Captain Misa’s building with guitarist Uros Dojcinovic.A renowned guitarist and acclaimed military ensemble marked 35 years of cooperation with the premiere concert Romance.
The programme, designed to take the audience into the world of virtuoso lyrical tones, included melodies inspired by folk sounds of the Mediterranean that emerged from the pen of musical dignitaries like Paganini, Carulli, Tarrega, Rodrigo, Halfter, Knezevic and Diens.
Under the baton of maestro Pavle Medakovic, the chamber orchestra of the Ensemble and the guest, picked up an applause of the Belgrade audience, apparently eager to attend interesting concert events.
Uros Dojcinovic, on the occasion of four decades of his artistic work, was awarded the Special Charter of the Cultural and Educational Community.
At the end of the concert, as a kind of "bonus tracks", the band performed Piazzolla’s Tango Oblivion and De Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance.
