Meeting with Chief of Staff of the Italian Army
State Secretary Nenad Neric received a delegation of the Italian Army, led by Chief of Staff of the Italian Army Lieutenant-General Danilo Errico.Neric and Errico talked about intensifying cooperation in the field of defence cooperation so far with regard to joint participation in a peacekeeping operation in Lebanon, as well as possibilities for improving cooperation through joint engagement in international exercises.
State Secretary Neric thanked General Errico for taking care of the monastery of Visoki Decani, the only remaining monastery under the protection of KFOR guarded by the Italian soldiers.
During the visit, the Italian delegation visited the Army Command and during the day they are going to visit the River Flotilla and the Special Brigade, where they will be shown a part of equipment and training of the special units.
