Marking the Day of Uprising in the Second World War



Aleksandar Vulin, Minister for Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, has led today the state ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the anti-fascist uprising in the Second World War.

Wreaths were laid by representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, President of Krupanj Municipality, representatives of the The Federation of Veterans' Associations of the People's Liberation War (SUBNOR) of Serbia, as well as associations and citizens.

At the monument of Zikica Jovanovic – Spanac, located within the memorial complex in Bela Crkva, near Krupanj, Vulin said that there was no generation in the history of the Serbian people that has ever given the wrong answer to the question whether it is ready to pay a high and the highest price for freedom.

He stressed that the Serbs know that only free people are successful and that only free Serbia can be prosperous and developed, adding that 7th July is the day when Serbia and the Serbs chose freedom.
