Best wishes by the Minister of Defence on the occasion of the Day of Air Surveillance and Reporting Service

I extend my best wishes to all members of the Air Surveillance and Reporting Service on 18 June – the Day of the service.

Continuing more than a century long tradition, when the Serbian Supreme Command issued the Order to form permanent surveillance signal stations for indicating the flight direction of enemy aircraft, the members of your department, thanks to a good training level, make full contribution to the functioning of the air surveillance and reporting system, thus raising the level of operational capabilities of the Air Force and Air Defence elements and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.

Since the previous holidays, you have achieved outstanding results in the field of increasing the command efficiency in the air defence system, modifications, repairs and maintenance of radar computer systems, in training, education and further professional advancement of the personnel working in the duty system of air defence.

I congratulate you on your holiday, convinced that you will continue to successfully accomplish the set tasks and by your work reinforce the control of our air space.
