Minister of Defence meets the US Ambassador
Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic has met today with the US Ambassador in Belgrade Kyle Scott. On this occasion, they discussed the current issues related to the cooperation in the field of defence, as well as the improvement of overall bilateral relations between the two countries.Minister Djordjevic and Ambassador Scott noted the high level of development of bilateral military cooperation, which takes place in areas of mutual interest. They analysed the key activities from the previous period, as well as several upcoming joint exercises and training events of the members of the armed forces of the two sides.
The Defence Minister particularly emphasized the importance that joint exercises with the US, but also with other foreign partners, have for improving operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Ambassador Scott stressed high level of professionalism of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, both in the activities of international military cooperation and during the participation in multinational operations.
