Minister Djordjevic spends Easter with soldiers



After yesterday's visit to the South and Trsteno bases, continuing his visit to the Ground Safety Zone, Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic visited today the Dobrosin base and the possessed post of Taslak near Bujanovac.

After extending Easter greetings to the members of the Serbian Armed Forces performing the tasks in this area, the minister, accompanied with the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant-General Jovica Draganic, and the Army Commander Lieutenant-General Milosav Simovic, attended the demonstration exercise in the Dobrosin base entitled "Procedure of the base in case of attack and intervention towards the endangered security body".

During the tour of the base, after traditional knocking of Easter eggs, in a conversation with members of the Armed Forces engaged in the database, the Minister was informed about the living and working conditions and announced that it will continue to do everything in their financial status is day to day better.

- It is the second day of the Easter holidays, and we can state today that the army is ready to regularly perform its duties at the administrative line. I wish to express my satisfaction with everything I have seen, including the demonstration exercise, the defence minister said, adding that the army is ready and able to protect our country.

Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic, after touring the possessed post of Taslak, had lunch with the members of the Armed Forces engaged on this site which is very important for the control of the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija.

The Ground Safety Zone is 382 kilometres long and five kilometres wide, while members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior are engaged in securing it.
