Defence Minister visits "Prva Iskra" in Baric

Defence Minister Zoran Djordjevic, accompanied by Acting Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradovic, PhD, and the Chief of the Department for the Defence Technologies Major General Bojan Zrnic, visited today "Prva Iskra – namenska a.d." in Baric, to be informed about the state of production and investment, as well as the business plans for the current and the next year.

Director of the company Stanoje Biocanin briefed Minister Djordjevic about the novelties in operations and achieved business results, after which they visited the plants for the production of high explosives and facilities that were destroyed during the 1999 bombing.

In addition to good results in the field of technology transfer, the leaders of the company especially stressed significant progress in winning new markets in Western Europe and the Far East, as well as successes in developing new low sensitive explosives in cooperation with the Military Technical Institute.
