President Nikolic extends best wishes on the Defence Inspectorate Day





I congratulate all the members of the Defence Inspectorate on 26 February – the Inspectorate Day.

The Defence Inspectorate continues the tradition of inspection bodies established in the Kingdom of Serbia, and this year it is for the first time that it celebrates its Day to commemorate the year 1911 when the main inspection of the entire army was formed by the Decree of King Petar I Karadjordjevic.

In the previous period, the Defence Inspectorate, as a body within the Ministry of Defence, provided professional and objective information about the state of the defence system and confirmed that it serves the purpose of command and control.

Realisation of the set tasks gave a significant contribution to the improvement of operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as in other areas of inspection.

With the recognition of the successful accomplishment of the task, I am sure that you will continue to give contribution to strengthening the defence system in your future work, by professional and objective approach to executing the inspection.
