Cooperation between military and civilian geodetic surveyors



Chief of the Military Geography Institute (MGI) Colonel Stevan Radojcic and Director of the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) Borko Draskovic signed an agreement on professional and technical cooperation between the two institutions.

The main purpose of the cooperation is to improve the operation and efficiency of the RGA and MGI in the realization of joint projects of importance for the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Armed Forces. Signing the agreement enables the two institutions to complement each other in their activities, avoid duplication of work and to ensure rational use of human and technical resources by creating better geographic data with the support of modern geo-information technologies and systems.

Cooperation will be implemented in the field of topographic surveys, basic geodetic works, topographic and cartographic activities and surveying the state border. The two institutions will exchange data, knowledge, skills, information, expertise and technical documents, publications, library materials. In the framework of cooperation, joint professional and expert teams will be formed and joint projects, seminars and courses will be planned and conducted.
