Promotion of the book "The Day when even Blood was Burning - Tuzla Convoy 1992"

At the Atrium of the Central Military Club today, the book by Radovan Kecojevic "The Day when even Blood was Burning – Tuzla Convoy 1992" was presented. The author, a retired officer, who conducted a forensic examination of the field after the crime in Tuzla, brings before the readers a painful testimony about the attack on the JNA convoy on 15 May 1992 and the death of 224 soldiers and officers.

Apart from the author, the book was presented by a historian Dr. Dusica Bojic, the editor of the book and the Publishing House "Svet knjige", Stevo Ćosović, writer Mr. Jovan N. Ivanovic and orator Vitomir Dardic.

Speaking about the book, "which brings us back to one city and one time", Dusica Bojic pointed out that the author wrote a breathtaking book, devoted to people who died, but also the town which once was a good place to live.

- In every sentence Kecojevic describes the pain, so the book is a big moan for the people, time and life as it once existed in Tuzla, which the author also felt. A special mark is given by three authentic statements of the people from the convoy, the historian said, adding that it is a testimony for all times.

Editor of the publishing house "Svet knjige", Stevo Cosovic, said that Kecojevic, by reviewing the background and the dynamics of the events, made a comprehensive picture of the events in Tuzla, which had a huge impact on the further course of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The attack on the convoy of soldiers created a huge distrust between the nations which was impossible to overcome. The author is of the opinion that the case of "Tuzla Convoy" which was made up at the very beginning of the conflict, just like Sarajevo "Dobrovoljacka street" accomplished "the goal of the principal director" to push the people to the path of no return – the Civil War.

Reviewer of the book, the writer Jovan N. Ivanovic, MSc, said that it is a documentary – memoir work one must stand still in front of it and which has to be perceived as a testimony and as a warning.
