Protocol on Donation by the Ministry of the National Defence of the PR China signed

State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Belgrade Li Manchang signed today the Protocol on Donation between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of National Defence of the People's Republic of China on providing Chinese military assistance to Serbia, worth around one million Euro (7 million Yuan).

The donated funds are planned to be delivered during 2016 for the use in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces, which will significantly facilitate the work of our members.

Recalling the last year's donation by the People's Liberation Army of China, which was used to remediate the consequences of the floods, State Secretary Djordjevic thanked Ambassador Manchang on another in a series of grants that the People's Republic of China provided to the Serbian defence system.

During the talks, they highlighted the traditional friendly relations between our two nations and great potential for further development and improvement of cooperation between China and Serbia. It was pointed out that the relations between the two countries and meetings at the high political level contributed to intensification and enhancement of cooperation in the field of defence.
