Donation to the Military Hospital Nis

Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic attended today the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Military Hospital in Nis and Business Club “Privrednik” in Nis. The contract was signed by Chief of the Military Health Department Colonel Ugljesa Jovicic and president of the Business Club Dragan Milosevic. Representatives of the Club of Entrepreneurs donated today to the Military Hospital Nis a modern EKG machine.

Thanking for the donation, Minister Gasic stressed that for years no investments had been made in the military health care, even in the Military Hospital in Nis, so the military health care had been on the margins of healthcare events in Serbia.

"We have started to invest significant funds, but each gift is precious to us, because we want to provide quality health care primarily to the military insured and, of course, civil policyholders treated with us. We expect that in 2016 space in Military Hospital Nis for the installation of a new scanner will be finished, and in January Business Club will donate the Nis Military Hospital video surveillance equipment and the new 4D ultrasound machine," Gasic said.

Chief of the Military Hospital in Nis Colonel Goran Damjanovic thanked for the donation and establishing of the long-term cooperation, while President of the Business Club Dragan Milosevic announced new donations for the Military Hospital.

Responding to a reporter's question on the declaration of the OSCE on combating terrorism and the role of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in this fight, Minister Gasic said that, from the very first day when the global threat of Islamic radicalism appeared, Serbia has been one of 50 members of the great coalition.

"Serbia cannot help in other resources, but primarily with intelligence work and exchange of information with all security structures around the world. This is precisely what we do. The Serbian Armed Forces and our security agencies are involved in the global fight against terrorism, and the Serbian Armed Forces is also engaged in the care of migrants, so overall we are a part of a great team that is primarily concerned about the security of the citizens of Serbia," Minister Gasic said.
