Dress rehearsal for the "Shield" exercise

Today the dress rehearsal was held for the tactical demonstration exercise of all security structures in Serbia called "Shield 2015", which included 500 members of the Armed Forces and Police. The exercise was carried out by members of the Serbian Armed Forces, Serbian Ministry of Interior, BIA and other agencies. The following units were deployed: the Special Brigade from the Armed Forces, which contains the anti-terrorist battalion; members of the 204th and the 98th Air Brigade, Riverine Flotilla, the Guard and the special purpose military police battalion "Cobras", and from the Serbian Ministry of Interior – members of the Special Antiterrorist Unit, Gendarmerie, and the Anti-Terrorist Unit.

They displayed demanding and complex tactical exercises in resolving the hostage crisis in the train, in the Palace of Serbia, on the plane at the airport, at the occupied facility on the Danube River, and then a diving team from the Riverine Flotilla was deployed to continue anti-terrorist action and capture the fugitive terrorist at the occupied vessel, which took place on the Danube. Helicopter units from the Armed Forces and Police were also deployed, and across the sky flew "Gazelle" helicopters and Mi-8 and "Bel".

Activities took place at several locations - at the Palace of Serbia, at the Main Railway Station in Belgrade, "Nikola Tesla" Airport, at Batajnica airport, and at the confluence of the two rivers in Belgrade.
