- The selected photos are a dramatic testimony to the suffering of the little man, the hunger and poverty that accompany war. The history offers many lessons to the mankind, the most important being that of life. With this exhibition, we awaken a sense of belonging and we honour both our ancestors and all the victims of the Great War, the greatest conflict in the history so far. With reverence we remember the little man who, returned to his homeland from the ashes and rose after the horrors of the Great War, - Neric said.

Exhibition "The Great War through the eyes of the little man" is the work of curator of the Military Museum Natasa Tomic. Historical photographs, mostly from the collection of the Military Museum, and two private collections, were created as a result of the war effort of professional photographers and amateurs with a camera, who on their war path, the path of Golgotha, testified about the dramatic events and the indescribable suffering of the "little man", the eternal victim in the conflicts of the great. The photographs testify about the atmosphere and life in the occupation, destroyed urban and rural infrastructure, ruins and suffering of the people in a constant encounter with the occupying army.

Exhibition "The Great War through the eyes of the little man" will be open until 1 December.
