Regular informing of members of the Club of Generals and Admirals



Acting Assistant Minister for Human Resources Milos Jankovic held today at the Central Military Club regular informing of the members of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia.

Редовно информисање чланова Клуба генерала и адмирала Speaking about the development of the Serbian Armed Forces in the upcoming period, Jankovic stressed that the final word, rather than the needs, will be given by the country’s possibilities.

- Finance and realistic possibilities of the country are the decisive factor that affects the financial viability and development plans of the armed forces, which simply borders the modernization and equipping of the armed force - Jankovic said.

- We have not forgotten veterans, retired members of Serbian Armed Forces with the unenviable material position known to the Serbian Government, which is doing everything it can to achieve at least some improvement, in housing, and in the material position of retired members of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence - Milos Jankovic stressed.

Mention was given to the current events in the world, with special emphasis on the refugee crisis and the efforts of Serbia to treat migrants behaves responsibly and humanely.

Lastly, Jankovic informed the members of the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia that the Day of Military Veterans has been established on 4 February, the day the armistice was signed in 1912 during the First Balkan War and when, after the victorious battles for liberation from the Ottoman authorities, around 400,000 members of the Army of the Kingdom of Serbia was transferred to reserve units.
