Misuse of the interview with Colonel Milutinovic



The text published on the website of the British Telegraph, also cited by some of our media, presented false quotes of Head of the Department for faith of the Serbian Armed Forces Colonel Sasa Milutinovic. Despite the request for authorization of the interview, the text was not submitted to Colonel Milutinovic, or Secretary General of the Bible Society of Serbia Vera Mitic, upon whose initiative the conversation was conducted.

Please note that the interview with Colonel Milutinovic was made for the web portal of the British Bible Society, which was visiting the kindred Serbian society, and not for the British Telegraph.

Responding to the incorrect writings of the British journalist, General Secretary of the Bible Society of Serbia Vera Mitic, who attended the interview, sent a letter to the British Bible Society, pointing to the tendentious errors and untruths published in the article, and the interview was removed from their website.

The citizen’s association the Bible Society of Serbia is the donor of 4,000 copies of the New Testament and the same number of prayer books to members of the Serbian Armed Forces, with the blessing of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
