Situation in the Central African Republic worsens



Based on continuous monitoring and assessment of the situation in the zones of multinational operations, carried out by the United Nations and our services, and in which members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are deployed, it has been concluded that the security situation has deteriorated significantly in the Central African Republic, while in Somalia and Mali it has been unstable for a longer period. With increased security measures, all Serbian peacekeeping forces are safe at this moment.

Due to increased instability and risk, the Ministry of Defence has initiated the procedure for amending the Decision on determining the coefficients for the risk in the service and coefficients for the geographical and climatic conditions for the members of the Serbian Armed Forces and other defence forces during the deployment in multinational operations outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia.
