Binicki at the concert of Kolo Ensemble
National Ensemble "Kolo" held at the Expocentre a concert "TradicijaNova", which officially opened the new season. With the concert, the Ensemble was presented to the expert and general public in a modern way.The program was divided into three parts. In the first part, they performed choreographies from the classical program, accompanied by their National Orchestra.
Dancers of the Ensemble "Kolo" are also singers, so in the second part of the program they performed two original songs, two choral arrangements and a remake of the original folk song "Lastavice, lasto" performed by young singer-songwriter Ana Curcin.
Then came the third part of "TradicijaNova". As its name implies, the new program line represents the artistic works that could one day become a tradition. These are choreographic miniatures on the music by contemporary composers: "Serbian fantasy" by Aleksandar Sedlar and "Balkan Symphonic Game 2" by Konstantin Blagojevic. They performed both compositions in cooperation with an extended formation of the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binički", with which Luka Sesek, violin soloist, who lives and works in Los Angeles also performed.Another part of the ceremony was an exhibition of photos by Jelena Jankovic, a photographer who this year joined the team of the Ensemble.
