Minister of Defence congratulates the Day of Antiaircraft Artillery and Missile units



To all members of the Antiaircraft Artillery and Missile units I congratulate on 30 September – the Day of Service.

On that day in 1915, Radoje Raka Ljutovac shot down with anti-aircraft gun the first enemy plane in Serbia during the Great War. Continuing the century long tradition of the Great War, the members of your service make a full contribution and raise the level of operational capability of the formation of the Air Force and Air Defence, and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.
Thanks to the professionalism, accountability, professionalism and competence of the members of your service, despite the conditions of slower technological development, in the past you have been able to preserve a high level in the performance of specific tasks and successfully follow the traced military objectives of the new age.

I congratulate you on your jubilee, certain that you will continue being a significant factor in the Serbian Armed Forces and the main carrier of firepower of air defence and successfully implementing the assigned tasks.
