Defence Minister congratulates the Day of CBRN service



To all members of the CBRN service, I extend my congratulations on 28 September – Day of service.

On that day in 1932, by the Decree of the Minister of Army and Navy of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Barutanski battalion began forming in Krusevac within the Institute "Obilicevo". It was the first regular unit of counter-chemical protection.

Thanks to your professional attitude towards work and responsible and quality execution of tasks, you have contributed to the development of staff training in your service, continuing a tradition of more than eight decades. The acquired experience, quality staff, developed system of training and specialized education and further training, and equipping with modern means of detection, protection and decontamination guarantee the good functioning of the CBRN service.

Convinced that you will continue giving full contribution to the development of your service and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole, I congratulate you on your holiday and wish you much success in your work.
