Defence Minister congratulates on the occasion of Telecommunications Services Day



To all members of the Telecommunications Services I congratulate on 20 September - Day of Service.

On that day in 1916, at the proposal of the Minister of the Military, Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic approved the Regulation on the military telegraph, based on which the liaison units were separated from the Engineering service, and liaison became an independent Army service. Following modern trends of development in this area, these are telecommunications today.

Constant upgrading of telecommunications systems and their modernization are necessary and are a basic requirement in the new era which imposes new requirements on that service of the Serbian Armed Forces. I am sure that you will be able to follow and adopt modern processes of telecommunications, which will ensure in command and control the timely transfer of information of any kind.

In the past you have achieved notable and significant results in strengthening of telecommunications services and significantly contributed to the improvement of operative and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.

I congratulate you on your holiday, confident that you will continue successfully implementing the assigned tasks.
