Preparations for promotion of the youngest officers of the Serbian Armed Forces



Промоција најмлађих официра Војске СрбијеCeremony to mark the completion of the schooling for cadets of the 136th class of the Military Academy and the first-class of the MMA Faculty of Medicine will be held on Saturday, 12 September 2015, in front of the building of the National Assembly in Belgrade, starting at 17:30.

This will be for the tenth time that the youngest second lieutenants are promoted at the ceremony in front of the National Assembly, and it is for the first time in the history that the three top ranked cadets are girls.

A number of 157 male and female cadets of the Military Academy and 18 from the first-class of the MMA Faculty of Medicine will be promoted to the first officer's rank.

According to the protocol of the ceremony, it is planned that the President of the Republic of Serbia hands over sabres to the best ranked ones, while the most successful cadets of the Army and the Air Force and Air Defence service branches will be presented pistols with inscription by the Defence Minister. The best cadets of the MMA Faculty of Medicine will be awarded parade daggers.

Aviation of the Serbian Armed Forces, ''Stanislav Binički'' Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, Representative Guard Orchestra and Ensemble of Serbian Folk Dances and Songs "Kolo" are to take part in the programme of the ceremony.

Preparations for the promotion ceremony for the youngest second lieutenant are well underway at the Military Academy, where cadets and second lieutenants-to-be are rehearsing for a parade and ceremony protocol.

The first ranked: Bojana Regodic, GPA 9.84, study programme Defence Logistics, module Finance, graduate in Logistics Engineering.
The second ranked: Jelena Pekovic, GPA 9.74, study programme Defence Logistics, module Finance, graduate in Logistics Engineering.
The third ranked: Iva Stankovic, GPA 9.65, study programme Defence Logistics, module Finance, graduate in Logistics Engineering.

The first ranked by service branches:
In Army service branch, Marko Lakic, GPA 9.53, study programme Defence Management, module Infantry, graduate manager.
In Air Force and Air Defence service branch, Bosko Markovic, GPA 9.58, study programme, Air Force, fixed-wing pilot, traffic engineer.

Best ranked at the MMA Faculty of Medicine:
1. Goran Savic, GPA 9.90
2. Natasa Petkovic, GPA 9.90
3. Ahmet Hadziahmetagic, GPA 9.84.
