Members of the 21st Infantry Battalion of the Second Army Brigade took part in Exercise Allied Spirit II, which was held at the Hohenfels Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Germany.

Apart from members of the Serbian Armed Forces more than 4,500 soldiers from the Czech Republic, the USA, Canada, Georgia, Italy, Hungary and Great Britain participated at the exercise organized by the US Army Europe.

A platoon composed of two officers, three non-commissioned officers and 25 privates, commanded by Captain Boris Stanojevic, with members of the armed forces of seven countries, performed combined offensive and defensive operations in the framework of the exercise, practicing joint intervention in these types of operations.

The aim of the exercise was to improve interoperability and mutual understanding of members of the partner nation armies in conducting operations in a multinational environment.

Army units have been trained at the Hohenfels Joint Multinational Readiness Center since 2011, and this is the third exercise in which the members of the 21st Infantry Battalion participated in order to increase the operational capabilities of their unit.
