Best Wishes of the Minister of Defence on the occasion of the Military Museum Day



I wish to congratulate all the members of the Military Museum on 22nd August – the Day of this institution.

On that day, in 1878, the Military Museum was founded by the Decree of Prince Milan Obrenovic. Continuing a tradition of almost a century and a half, by its exhibitions to celebrate the civil and military holidays, as well as marking the jubilee anniversaries of the Serbian liberation wars you are contributing to the presentation of the rich cultural heritage of the Republic of Serbia.

Thanks to your perseverance in the research and collection of the museum materials, the continuous work on the permanent exhibition, organization of thematic exhibitions, assistance at the establishment and work of the memorial rooms of the Serbian Armed Forcers, you are giving a significant contribution to the development of museum activities in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and the culture and traditions. In addition to good international cooperation, by your exhibitions you are making available to the public the museum objects from the collections of the Military Museum and you are a real indicator of the value of the military heritage.

Wishing you all success in executing your activities in the field of culture and tradition both in the Ministry of Defence and on the state level and to continue achieving the remarkable results, I extend my congratulations on the occasion of your holiday.
