Bronze for Serbia at the Tank Biathlon

After an uncertain and tense race full of twists, the Serbian Army team won the third place at this year's Tank Biathlon. The first place was won by Russia, and the second by China. Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic attended the final race of the most important competition of the International Military Games.

- We are a small but brave country, and we have a good Army. In such competition, among these powers, in a competition that lasts almost a month, it is an honor to win the third place - Minister Gasic said.

In the last round, our team was unable to fire any of the three projectiles with the gun, and there was no possibility of replacing the tank because this had already been done due to a malfunctioning, and therefore the last Serbian crew had to drive three penal circles.

With this achievement, the Serbian army tank crew showed that they belong among the world's elite armored units and that they have the skills to be measured with the representatives of the armies that are incomparably more numerous than ours.

Before coming to the Alabino training ground, Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic visited Corporal Milivoje Tijanic who had hurt his spine in the semi-final race. Corporal Tijanic was admitted in the Central Military Hospital in Moscow and professional medical teams monitor his health condition, which, as shown by the analysis, is not severe.

At the grand closing ceremony of the International Military Games, the winners of the Tank Biathlon were awarded medals. The flag of the Republic of Serbia fluttered beside the flags of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.

Second Lieutenant Vladica Tasic, Second Lieutenant Strahinja Grbic and Corporal Sasa Karadzic were awarded with medals by Minister of Defence of the Russian federation Sergey Shoygu.
