Congratulations on the Day of Riverine Units

I congratulate all members of Riverine Units on 6 August – the Day of Service.

On this day in 1915, the first Serbian battleship “Jadar” was launched in Cukarica near Belgrade, which marked the beginning of the foundation of the Serbian Riverine Flotilla.

Continuing a century-long tradition, thanks to good training, members of your service make their full contribution and raise the level of operative capability of the formation of the Army and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole. In the previous period, you have achieved remarkable results in the field of increasing the efficiency of command over river units, training, education and further training of staff of this service of the Serbian Armed Forces.

I congratulate you on your holiday, certain that you will continue conducting your tasks professionally, and that you will be worthy carriers of the tradition of riverine units in the Serbian Armed Forces.

Congratulations on the Day of Riverine Flotilla

With the launching of the first Serbian battleship “Jadar” near Belgrade in 1915, the foundation of the Serbian Riverine Flotilla officially began.

In the year of the jubilee, you have shown readiness to respond to contemporary challenges and protect the natural resources on inland waterways, as well as to participate in humanitarian missions and perform security and other tasks. By participating in both national and multinational exercises, you have confirmed your expertise and competence, and with your professional approach to work, you have maintained the level of operative capabilities of your unit.

Wishing you to continue conducting assigned tasks professionally and contributing to the advancement of the service of riverine units, I congratulate you on your jubilee.
