Meeting of Chief of General Staff and KFOR Commander

At the Military Club in Nis, a high-level meeting of the Joint Committee for the implementation of the Military Technical Agreement was held today, during which Chief of the General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic and KFOR Commander Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo discussed the current security political situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the security situation along the administrative line. The meeting was also attended by Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic.

During the meeting, the generals also discussed the present cooperation between SAF and KFOR and courses of future cooperation.

The meeting was also an opportunity for General Dikovic and General Figliuolo to mutually thank for the very good cooperation, as General Figliuolo will hand over the duty of the KFOR Commander in the beginning of August.

The cooperation between SAF and KFOR is based on the provisions of the Military Technical Agreement and is characterized by a high level of trust and professionalism. With the goal of preventing illegal activities, SAF and KFOR conduct joint activities along the administrative line, among which the coordinated patrols stand out by importance and efficiency, whose number has been significantly increased this year.

Meetings of the Joint Committee for the implementation of the Military Technical Agreement have been held regularly, on various levels, since 1999.
