After the return of 68 SAF members that have been a part of the first contingent deployed in the UN mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), a comprehensive analysis of completed tasks, and regular medical examinations are under way. All aspects of the deployment, from preparation for referral, through the organization and realization of functional obligations of the hospital and support unit are being analyzed.

During the mission, two members contracted malaria. One member, in the course of the mission, was discharged from hospital and returned to regular duty after a brief hospitalization and successful treatment, while the other member is getting treatment at the Military Medical Academy.

In complex conditions, the first rotation provided all the necessary conditions for the continued deployment of the following contingents of the Serbian Armed Forces. All members of the contingent have been awarded medals for their UN service.
