The sale of 282 tanks not arranged



Regarding the public information about the alleged sale of 282 tanks to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which, according to the newspaper, "Blic" was agreed on at the Fair of arms and military equipment "Partner 2015", the Ministry of Defence reports that the said sale was not on the agenda of talks between the two delegations which were held during the fair.

In a statement to newspaper "Blic" Major General Dr. Bojan Zrnic, Representative of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Material Resources, made clear that he did not want to disclose the state with which the negotiations on the sale of the tanks were under way, so the conclusion of the journalist that it was Pakistan is not founded in this or any other official information from the Ministry of Defence.

It is true that the Ministries of Defence of Serbia and Pakistan have good cooperation in the military-economic field and the development of projects of mutual interest, but we point out that during the fair "Partner 2015" the sale of tanks to Pakistan was not discussed.
